Let’s get started – What you’ll do

Data Solutions Engineers manage the flow of structured and unstructured data from various sources in Azure. They work on a centralized cloud data platform (Data Core) that is developed and used across the entire Jumbo organization to create business value by delivering actionable insights.

We strengthen the relationship between IT and business teams and strive to improve Jumbo’s data landscape—every single day. No two days are the same, but your tasks will include:

• Designing and implementing end-to-end data solutions. Transforming, validating, and making data from multiple sources understandable for our data domains.
• Collaborating with the business to identify and meet data requirements.
  Ensuring data pipelines and data products are high-performing, automated, and monitored, following CI/CD standards and the DevOps approach.
• Acting as a bridge to other teams and actively participating in the Data Guild.
• You build it, you own it, you run it! You’ll make a direct impact on (online) stores and be responsible for your product.
• Contributing to our new data landscape, where data domain teams deliver data correctly to our data analysts and consultants.

As a Data Solutions Engineer within the Customer & Assortment channel, you’ll play a key role in helping Jumbo achieve its ambition to develop a future-proof and robust data landscape. This enables business teams to solve self-service BI & analytics, Mobile BI, machine learning, and data science use cases.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with creating robust and stable data solutions, pipelines, and data products within Azure (certification is a plus).
• Experience with Python, PySpark, Databricks, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.

• As a Data Solutions Engineer, you design and implement end-to-end data solutions in Azure. You transform and validate data, build reliable data pipelines, and ensure automation and monitoring according to CI/CD standards.
• By making data accessible and usable, you help Jumbo make smarter and faster decisions. This improves processes, optimizes customer interactions, and indirectly contributes to a better in-store and online experience.
• You work within the Customer & Assortment channel on a future-proof data landscape. Together with colleagues, you create solutions for BI, analytics, machine learning, and data science, enabling business teams to generate insights independently.
• You collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, engineers, and other teams. Together, you drive data-driven improvements and knowledge sharing within the Data Guild, including integration with SAP, Mendix, and cloud technologies.
